   Band Member Detlef Schmidt left the Band end of 2010 for family reasons. JT wishes Def all the best for his future.
   Luckily JT have good conections to allot of Bands and the one and only Christian Hochmut from “The Town Rebels”,
3. “Johnny Knife and his Rippers” helpes them out until they have found a new band member
4. to roar once again across the continets.
6. A DVD of the Rock and Roll Weekender in Walldorf 2010 has been released. To purchase at Andy Widders shop,
7. or the DYNAMITE magasine. You can also obtain this DVD through Bernd Holzapfel.

A new album is beeing prepaired with a hole lot of new songs that have not been released anywhere yet
at the Jungle Room studios and hopefully will apear mid or end of this year! Be suprised of the new songs.

MAI /MAYO 2008:AY 2008:

-Larissa /Greece: Gig cancelled - blame Malev Airlines.

The JT-Gig in Larissa /Greece (150Km from Thessaloniki) on Sat.,10.05.2008 had to be cancelled the same day: Flying from Frankfurt/M. to Budapest and then over to Thessaloniki (with Malev Hungarian Airlines), the tigers had to wait one hour inside the plane in Frankfurt/M.! Due to this delay the connection flight from Budapest to Thessaloniki had been gone! Unfortunatelly, having huge discussions with the Malev information desk, there was only one solution: As there were no other flights (not even to another airport, e.g. Zagreb, and then on to Thessaloniki) the band had to wait 10hours (!!!) at Ferihegy Airport Budapest, arriving in Thessaloniki at 1:45h in the morning (and the venue in Larissa would have been another 1,5hours drive on top). Therefore, contacting the greece promoter by phone from Budapest, the show had to be cancelled only a few hours before the show in Larissa. Blaming alev Airlines for this cancellation (and also the bad treatment at Ferihegy Airport Budapest), the band is going to contact Malev asking them to pay back the flight tickets as well as the complete damage (cancellation of the gig)! We keep you informed!

-JT-Best Rock'n'Roll Band 2007:
The Jungle Tigers have been voted as "Best Rock&Roll Band of the year 2007" by the spanish Awards "Premios Internacionales a la Música Independiente".The Awards will be celebrated the day 26. September 2008 in Cáceres, Spain where the prices of all categories will be handed over by the Awards president Mr.Juan Pedro González (also owner of "Bon Vivant Records": www.myspace.com/bonvivantrecords).

-Finally most of our long awaited releases are now out: A 4-track-EP with Darrel Higham (Sleazy Records /Spain), limited on 500 copies, and a 15-track-CD (On Stage Records /Greece). So don’t be shy and get your copy as soon as possible – from your local dealer or directly from the band !!!

-New online-shop coming very soon: Just check out our homepage within the next weeks, as there’ll be a new online-shop made by Chris very soon. So, just check it out and order our new releases, T-Shirts, patches, etc directly from us !!

-Also out now: The new Dynamite (Rock’n’Roll) Magazine #52 featuring the track “Goo Goo Muck” on the CD #7 (included for free inside the magazine).

-EP with Ray Campi: The recordings for another new EP, featuring US-hero Ray Campi, are finally ready. The songs are in the studio for the final mixings and masterings. So stay tuned…!!

-Rockin’ Pauly, our beloved brother from the legendary spanish Rockabilly combo “ROCK’N’BORDES” (in the charts during the 80’s), joined the tigers on stage for one song during their gig at the “2^nd Rock This Town Festival” in Alicante, Spain. What more can we tell you: There are also plans to record with Pauly very soon!!!

-As mentioned in newsletter from the previous months, most of the band members have moved back from Spain to Germany. Therefore the band has also a new bassplayer (“Hi Detlef!”) and our saxplayer Pep, being also very busy with his other spanish band “The Fabulous Ottomanns”, has become an “official parttime-member”, joining the band’s gigs in special occasions or by special demand by promoters regarding international festivals, etc (as Pep did so in Alicante).

-Last but not least we’d like to thank Dani Nunes (Brioles) for helping us out once again on the slap-bass in Alicante!! Cheers buddy!!

-New Bassplayer:
The JTs would like to welcome Detlef Schmidt (ex-Rock &Roll Trio,Matchbox Bluesband,Steve Hooker Trio,Mütze &Z-Band,etc) as their new bassman. Regarding Bernd's heavy accident, the band decided to "contract" a new bassplayer; Bernd will change back to the Rhythmguitar, to make the line-up more "flexible" for live-gigs. In this formation, the Band is also able to play gigs as a trio, featuring Chris, Stefan and Detlef, just in case that Bernd would have to rest for recovery. Our sax player Pep will sort of jump in once in a while to join our gigs when ever he can. Due to his new Band "The fabulous Ottomans" Pep is very bussy and can only dedicate a few gigs a year for the Tigers.

-EP with Darrel Higham:
Finally, the long awaited EP with Darrel Higham will be on sale on "Sleazy Records" (Màlaga, Spain).The release date will be beginning of September at the "High Rockabilly Festival" in Calafell (Barcelona),Spain.

-Upcoming CD/10inch LP: Also available end of September/beginning of October, there'll be a new CD/10inch LP on "On Stage Records" from Greece.The vinyl version is supposed to include 10 tracks, mainly originals.The same tracks will also be on the CD plus 6 extra tracks.Both releases will feature various Special Guests, including US legend Ray Campi,and Mario Cobo from the Nu Niles,one of Spain's leading guitar-players - just to mention a few.

-New T-Shirts: Up from the 24th of August 2007, there'll be new band T-Shirts with a new design/logo available.You can buy them at live-gigs and in our merchandise-shop (which will be online very soon)!!Also,vailable for the first time:Girlie-shirts!!

Unfortunatelly, due to Bernd's terrible accident, the JT have decided to cancel the next gigs in Juli ("Valga Cruising in Riga /Estonia) and August ("Brandenburg Meeting" in Berlin /Germany). These are the first gigs canceled since the bands foundation back in 1988. Thanks for supporting us!

JT would also like to thank the promoters for understanding our situation, and for having the chance to perform at another date, for having booking us for their next festivals in 2008 !! Thanks a lot, buddies !!!

                 - Hi folks!

We’ve been quite busy the last months, so here are some “hot” news you’ve all been waiting for so long...!!

-Since August the band has started to play as a four-piece-combo featuring Chris (Vox /Guitar), Bernd (Vox /Electric Bass),
 Pep (Saxophon /Bluesharp) and Stefan (Drums). The idea is to go on with this line-up....!! But as you never know....time will
 tell the tale..!! The band would like to thank Dani Nunes (of the BRIOLES) for his support – THANX AGAIN BUDDY PORTUGUES !!

-Finally there are two new CD-Compilations out featuring the Tigers: “VA: 3er 4 GATOS ROCKERS CLUB FESTIVAL”
(official Festival-CD featuring two tracks of each band: Jungle Tigers, Mr. Whiz, The Dynamites, 4 Gatos and the Tihuya Cats)
and “VA: WHITE BOPPIN TOWER VOL.2” releasedy by the Greek-label ON STAGE RECORDS (featuring two new unreleased
tracks by the JT’s). For more details and covers please check out our “discographie”-section !! By the way:
The LP-Version of “White Boppin Tower Vol.2” will be out in about 8 weeks...!! We’ll keep you informed.

-Also out soon will be the LONG AWAITED releases on ON STAGE RECORDS, Greece –a vinyl EP titled “GOO GOO MUCK”-
and the CD “JUNGLE ROCK” on the japanese THOUSANDS RECORDS label. The EP should be ready around November,
the CD a month later in December 2006. So, you know how to put under the X-mas tree this year....!!!

-Even more the band will be featured on forthcoming CD-compilations like “HIS PANIC STOMP VOL.2” (Spain),
“TEDDYBOYROCKER VOL.1” (TMA RECORDS, Japan) and two new releases by ESQUILO RECORDS (Mexico).

-For 2007 the JT’s are yet booked for two of the biggest R&R festivals in Europe: The “BRANDENBURG R&R FESTIVAL”
in Berlin, Germany and the “VALGA CRUISING “ in Valga (Riga), Estonia.
As no one of the tigers has ever been or played in Estonia, we’re especially looking forward to these great events...!!

-Since February 2006 the band is working on a special project called JT & friends, which means that the band is recording with
various guest-artists. The result will be a Vinyl-Version (EP) of every recording session /with every guest-artist, and finally
when there’s enough material ready- a complete CD !! We hope that this will satisfy everybody: Vinyl-freaks (as WE are, too)
as well as CD – fans !! The label who as agreed to do both versions (on vinyl and CD) is SLEAZY RECORDS from Málaga, Spain.

-So far the Tigers have recorded with DARREL HIGHAM (UK), PEP TORRES (USA) and RAY CAMPI (USA).
More artsists to follow very soon....!! The first vinyl – release should be out VERY soon on SLEAZY RECORDS.
Which titles including which guest-star will be a secret – or where would be the surprise then...!?! So stay tuned...!!!
